Rodopi SYRIZA MP Ayhan Karagiousouf (phonetic spelling) recently proposed that a consortium be established between Greece and Turkey in the framework of exploring and exploiting possible hydrocarbon reserves in the Aegean. The MP argues that this would be an act of "resistance" to Europe and the US and more or less benefit both countries. Speaking to the local press of Thraki, the SYRIZA MP even mapped out the pooling! (oh my...)
"Greece is unable to exploit the mineral wealth that is in the  Aegean. It could form joint ventures such as a Greek-Turkish consortium. "
If this outrageous proposal and/or idea (whatever you want to call it) ever comes to pass, then Turkey will be profiting from Greek natural reserves. In other words... we will have surrendered our land and its reserves to the same forces we fought against to gain our freedom as a nation!

Is it just us... or does this sound to troubling to stomach?

Wishful thinking one would say on the part of Turkey... but it is a crying shame to hear a Greek national -who incidentally is also an MP with the main opposition party- making such a proposal, since he knows very well that Turkey is still occupying half of Cyprus and that Greeks were once slaves to the Ottomans for more 500 years.

It looks like the SYRIZA party needs to clean up its act, and quick. Its stance on foreign policy issues is really very troubling, treasonous and very, very dangerous, to say the least.
